So how can anyone possibly expect you to think about registering for a 5K that is taking place in August? Fall! I know, the nerve we have! But remember, right now is the perfect time to train, and a 5K registered for, is great motivation to get outside and get in shape, or stay in shape.
Right now you can take advantage of early bird pricing, and register for the Red Zone Rush, hosted by Brookwood Community Church, and still have ample time to get through your couch to 5k program. Brookwood Community Church is putting on the second annual Red Zone Rush 5K benefiting “Good to Go Kids” on August 6, 2016. The Red Zone Rush will have something for every participant—a reason to get together with friends, family, neighbors. And finally, there will be a “Kids Fun Run” to let the youngest athletes among us compete for their peers who are benefiting from “Good to Go Kids.”
The Couch to 5K program is the place to start, and the Red Zone Rush is where you put what you learned into practice. If you are a runner, or would like to be, you have a great group of people to learn from and get advice from at Brookwood Community Church. If you are interested in learning more about organized training runs, different options for couch to 5k programs, or learning more about volunteering for race day, please email an inquiry to firstname.lastname@example.org.
See you in the Red Zone!
