Are you looking for a reason to get off the couch and get active? Is a 5K on your bucket list? Why not do a Couch to 5K program this summer, and register for “The Red Zone Rush 5K”? Not only will you be doing something good for your body, you will be helping children in need right here in our community!
Here at Brookwood we have many people who are passionate about running, and helping others reach their goals. If you are interested in participating in a Couch to 5K, now may be the right time! This program is for everyone, from the athlete who has participated in multiple sports, but has never been a runner, to the person who has never done anything more than a casual bike ride or walk around the neighborhood. The most important part of this experience is that you remember you are not alone and that everyone has different goals they are looking to achieve. If you want to learn to run distance and enjoy it, email email@example.com for more specifics on how to get started in a program with others.
Brookwood Community Church is introducing the “Red Zone Rush 5K” benefiting “Good to Go Kids” on September 12. “The Red Zone Rush” will have something for every participant—a reason to get together with friends, family, neighbors, a sprint through the “red zone” for runners who want to challenge themselves by evading volunteers who will be trying to capture their flag in true flag football style, and finally, there will be a “Kids Fun Run” to let the youngest athletes among us compete for their peers who are benefiting from “Good to Go Kids.”
The Couch to 5K program is the place to start, and the Red Zone Rush is where you put what you learned into practice. See you in the Red Zone!
